International Growth Dinner

Inflexion has partnered with many UK companies that have successfully grown internationally. From Aspen Pumps to Sanne Group, whether companies sell products or services, an ability to grow outside of the UK has been testament to the quality of the management teams we work with and their ability to execute in new markets.

To deepen our understanding of how medium-sized companies can prepare themselves for international expansion we hosted an international growth dinner. Guests included founders and CEOs of fast growing UK companies as well as Inflexion business contacts who have run and chaired internationally focused private businesses. Inflexion’s team of in-country experts, Frédéric Junck, Rohit Hegde and Xuan Ye, joined the dinner and shared their experiences of supporting the expansion of Inflexion’s portfolio companies into Brazil, China and India.

Conversation focused on the opportunities and challenges an international growth strategy presents for firms with limited infrastructure. The debate on how to best identify and execute an internationalisation strategy was led by Hamdi Conger. Hamdi spent 25 years working for large international groups such as Alstom Transport and Allied Signal, before deciding to switch focus to medium-sized companies. Hamdi is now one of the UK’s most sought after private equity Chairmen, drawing on his two decades of experience in overseeing global growth at industrial companies such as Aesseal, Mold-Masters and British Rototherm.
