Gaining a political insight with Lord Peter Mandelson

We recently hosted a dinner with Lord Peter Mandelson and his colleagues at Global Counsel, attended by entrepreneurs, senior executives and Chairs from across our network. Lord Mandelson has had a distinguished career, from being European Trade Commissioner and British First Secretary of State to holding a number of Cabinet posts under Tony Blair and Gordon Brown including Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, Northern Ireland Secretary and Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills. He is now the co-founder and Chairman of Global Counsel, the strategic advisory business.

Lord Mandelson and his colleagues facilitated a lively discussion about the effect the current political environment is having on British businesses. Guests drew from their own varied experiences and exchanged views about the challenges currently facing entrepreneurs and how best to navigate them.
