Diversity Exchange: Rising Female Leadership

Last week we held our first in-person Diversity Exchange. The focus of this Exchange was Rising Female Leadership, and we welcomed over 60 female leaders from across our portfolio to Somerset House for the event.

The day was hosted by David Whileman, Head of Inflexion’s Partnership Capital fund, and started with a fireside chat where Flor Kassai, Inflexion Partner, spoke to Sam Smith, Founder and CEO of finnCap Group and the first female Chief Executive of a city stockbroking firm, about her career, work life balance and the importance of mentoring and coaching. The group then undertook negotiation training with Ogilvie Ross, where they learnt easy to use, confidence-boosting tools and tactics to help get better results from discussions without damaging credibility.

Finally, Executive Coaching Consultancy led a networking workshop, teaching tips and tricks on how to develop a personal network map and understand how to network in a natural and authentic way. Over the course of the event, there were plenty of opportunities to practice these networking skills, and it was great to get so many rising female leaders together in person.
