Rhead Group completes two acquisitions

Rhead Group, the professional services provider for the delivery of major international construction programmes, today announces the completion of two acquisitions, JPA Associates (“JPA”) in Australia and OTC Optima in the UK.

JPA is an energy consultancy based in Australia which provides contract administration, commercial management and procurement services for major infrastructure projects in the oil and gas sectors. Major clients include McConnell Dowell, Spie Capag and Nacap. JPA and Rhead have a long history of working together that spans some two decades.

The JPA acquisition broadens Rhead’s international presence, deepening its operations in the buoyant Australian market. JPA has enjoyed strong growth over the past few years with further expansion envisaged as it benefits from its strong local reputation and attractive market backdrop. Rhead also has an international presence in the Middle East and Singapore.

OTC Optima is a specialist project management consultancy with an enviable track record of leading the implementation and management of integrated project control environments across a broad range of industries including Nuclear, MoD, Air and Maritime. The business provides a high end consultancy, advising on complex projects around risk management and project planning.

The OTC acquisition has a highly complementary fit with Rhead’s current service offering, their highly professional consultants complement Rhead’s own existing portfolio of services for programme management and project controls. OTC enhances the range of services Rhead can deliver to its clients, thereby strengthening its UK presence.
