On Saturday 17th September, 28 Inflexion employees and teams from ten Inflexion portfolio companies completed the Impetus Triathlon. Through the generosity of Inflexion’s portfolio companies and valued network, the Inflexion team and portfolio companies raised a combined total of over £150,000. This has been matched by the Inflexion Foundation, reaching a total of over £300,000, once again making Inflexion the highest fundraiser for the Impetus triathlon.
Over the last six years, Inflexion has raised over £1.2m for Impetus by fundraising for the triathlon event alone.
Impetus transforms the lives of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds by ensuring they get the right support to succeed in school, in work and in life. The money raised will support charities and social enterprises with a track record of helping young people, providing management support, pro bono expertise and funding to scale the services they provide.
This fundraising comes shortly after the Inflexion Foundation announced it was strengthening its longstanding commitment to Impetus through a grant of £500,000 per annum for the next three years to support the delivery of the organisation’s charitable objectives.
It was a privilege to personally take part in the Impetus triathlon alongside so many of my colleagues and portfolio participants. I am proud that Inflexion has consistently been the highest fundraiser for the event for the last six years, nothing would delight me more than another private equity firm beating our fundraising record next year!
The annual triathlon is one of our biggest fundraising events and we are delighted and impressed at the level of commitment that Inflexion gives to this event year on year. The money that they and their portfolio companies raise for us will make a huge difference to the life chances of some of the most disadvantaged young people in the UK. Thank you.
