Inflexion is pleased to announce it has further strengthened its ESG commitments during the first half of 2022 by signing the United Nations Global Compact and formalising its commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals whilst also joining the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA)’s Data Convergence Project.
The Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact are derived from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Labour Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development, and the United Nations Convention Against Corruption. By incorporating the Principles into strategies, policies and procedures, Inflexion commits to set the stage for long-term success.
The ESG Data Convergence Project was conceived by the Institutional Limited Partners Associations (ILPA) to align GPs and LPs across a standardised set of metrics and mechanisms to enable better reporting on ESG aims and benchmarking. As a participating firm, Inflexion will report on a core set of ESG metrics across six categories including greenhouse gas emissions, renewable energy, board diversity, work-related injuries, net new hires, and employee engagement.
The Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability is the professional body for practitioners and whose mission is to help individuals and organisations in all aspects of sustainability. Membership of the Institute and it’s learning networks is further demonstration of Inflexion’s ambition to embed ESG across its own operations and within its portfolio companies.
Caring for our people, portfolio and planet is core to Inflexion’s values, and it is crucial we lead by example for the nearly 30,000 people collectively employed by our portfolio. By aligning ourselves with these initiatives we further underline our commitment to matters of crucial importance.
