Inflexion is pleased to announce it has appointed Andrea Bertolini as Partner and Head of Financial Services, Daan Gankema as Investment Director based in Amsterdam, and Rob Dunnett as Investment Director based in Manchester.

Andrea will lead the origination and execution of Inflexion’s Financial Services investments. He brings a wealth of investment experience, having spent the last 12 years at Cinven, most recently as Senior Principal. During his time at Cinven, Andrea was involved with a number of transactions including Avolon, Eurovita, Guardian Financial Services, Partnership, Viridium Group and True Potential. Prior to Cinven, Andrea worked in the Investment Banking Division of Citigroup.

To date, Inflexion has invested over £750 million into the Financial Services sector across 14 businesses. It currently has six Financial Services investments in its portfolio including corporate and fund administration business Ocorian and corporate insurance broker DR&P. It has also realised eight investments in the sector since inception with an average return of 3.6x, including the successful exits of Succession Wealth, a leading UK wealth advisory firm, to FTSE100 Aviva plc and insurance brokers Bollington Wilson Group, one of the UK’s leading insurance brokers, to US-listed Arthur J. Gallagher.

Together with the broader Benelux team, Daan will focus on the origination and execution of new investments across the region and support existing portfolio companies’ expansion plans across Benelux. He joins from Dutch mid-market private equity firm Parcom Capital and previously held an M&A role at Morgan Stanley in both London and New York.

​​​​​​​Rob will focus on the origination and execution of new investments across the North of England with a particular focus on Yorkshire and the North East. Rob spent the last 15 years at Rothschild & Co, most recently as Managing Director. He led on M&A activity across an array of sectors with particular focus on Business Services and Technology within the UK, US and across Europe.
