For the fourth year running, an ambitious group of Inflexion colleagues undertook the annual Roundhouse fundraising challenge. This year the team took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks raising a total of £140,000.
All members of the Inflexion group completed the 1600m of ascent and 39.2km in under 12 hours. Through the generosity of Inflexion’s valued network and matching by the Inflexion Foundation, £140,000 was raised by Inflexion. In the last four years, Inflexion has raised over £790,000 for the Roundhouse through its annual fundraising challenge.
The fundraising event comes just weeks after the Roundhouse Works centre opened, which The Inflexion Foundation supported with a £1.5m donation. The new state-of-the-art centre is helping to expand Roundhouse’s capacity to support young people.
The Roundhouse is a charity with an objective to provide ‘space to create’ for 11- to 30-year-olds, placing a particular focus on people who have been excluded, marginalised or disadvantaged by society. Roundhouse’s support helps them to find pathways back into education, work, or simply to enjoy a wider cultural life.
Taking on an annual challenge for the Roundhouse has become part of our culture at Inflexion. I am really proud of the team that completed the challenge and would like to thank everyone in our valued network that sponsored us. Inflexion’s relationship with the Roundhouse is very special and we look forward to continuing to support the great work that they do for many years to come.
This year we set a brand new challenge, the Yorkshire Three Peaks 26 miles and three mountains in under 12 hours, to help raise much needed funds for the Roundhouse's work with young people. As ever, the Inflexion team rose to the challenge beautifully and raised a huge amount of money in the process. We are so grateful for Inflexion’s support and we have loved getting to know many Inflexion team members who have taken part in our challenges over the years.
