On Saturday 16th September, 20 Inflexion employees together with 56 participants from eight Inflexion portfolio companies completed the annual Impetus Triathlon. Through the generosity of Inflexion’s portfolio companies and valued network, the Inflexion team and portfolio companies raised a combined total of £80,000. This has been matched by the Inflexion Foundation, reaching a total of £160,000, once again making Inflexion the highest fundraiser for the Impetus triathlon.
Over the last seven years, Inflexion has raised over £1.35m for Impetus by fundraising for the triathlon event.
Impetus transforms the lives of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds by ensuring they get the right support to succeed in school, in work and in life. The money raised will support charities and social enterprises with a track record of helping young people, providing management support, pro bono expertise and funding to scale the services they provide.
In September 2022, the Inflexion Foundation announced it was strengthening its longstanding commitment to Impetus through a grant of £500,000 per annum for three years to support the delivery of the organisation’s charitable objectives.
The partnership that Inflexion has with Impetus is very special, and each year the whole firm gets behind the triathlon effort both through participation and fundraising. We are delighted that we also had a record number of participants from our portfolio companies take part this year, extending both the fundraising and the awareness for Impetus’ vital work further through our network. Being the highest fundraiser again for the 7th year in a row is an achievement we are very proud of and would like to thank everyone that supported us.
Our triathlon continues to be one of the biggest annual fundraising events for us, and we are hugely grateful for the effort and commitment that the Inflexion team puts into it each year. The money that they and their portfolio companies raise will help many young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in the UK succeed at school, work and life. Thank you.
