Inflexion is delighted to announce that its portfolio companies Sparta Global (“Sparta”) and Times Higher Education (“THE”) have both been recognised by this year’s King’s Awards for Enterprise, one of the most prestigious business awards in the UK. Sparta Global has been honoured for its excellence in Promoting Opportunity (social mobility), whilst Times Higher Education has been honoured for International Trade.
Sparta’s impressive social mobility programme hires, trains, and deploys diverse business and technology talent for public and private sector organisations across the UK and Ireland. Sparta funds all training for its “Spartans”, who also receive a salary throughout the training period, enabling people from disadvantaged backgrounds the opportunity to develop the skills they need to embark on a successful career.
THE’s award reflects its increased global activities, now reaching 700 customers in 85 countries. THE’s portfolio of offerings includes university rankings, data products, global events and consultancy. Its rankings include more than 4,900 universities voluntarily participating from 143 countries, making it the most comprehensive and authoritative university ranking system globally.
In 2023, Inflexion’s portfolio companies Lintbells and Upperton both won the King’s Award in the International Trade category for their outstanding international growth.
The King’s Awards is a special accolade, and we are proud to see two more of our portfolio companies honoured with the award this year. We would like to particularly praise the hard work of both management teams, who have achieved brilliant things in their respective areas and thoroughly deserve this recognition.
