As a Partner and Chief Financial Officer, Richard is responsible for the finance function and overseeing the firm’s financial affairs. His remit includes the funds and investment manager operations, portfolio reporting and management, fund raisings and structuring, financial planning, treasury, legal affairs, compliance and tax. He is also a member of Inflexion's Executive Committee, Operations Committee and Responsible Investing Committee.

Richard has significant private equity experience, and before joining Inflexion in 2017, was Finance Director at European Capital, where he built up the finance team from inception and was involved in the primary LSE listing and multiple fundraising initiatives. Prior to this, Richard worked in multiple financial roles at Barclays Capital, qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Arthur Andersen, and also has experience of working in the technology industry at IBM and the energy industry at Mobil Oil.

Richard is keen on all sports, and enjoys playing tennis, football, running and cycling, when he is not spending quality time with his family.

He has a BSc in Business Studies from Aston University.
