The best ideas come from thinking outside the box, and so it is crucial to ensure decision makers represent a diverse mixture of backgrounds, whether gender, geography, or level and place of education.
Partner, Inflexion
Inflexion has always had a diverse and inclusive workforce. This variety of backgrounds and experiences draws out broader thinking and inspires livelier discussion.
We attract, develop, retain, and promote the best possible talent from a range of backgrounds and experiences. They are united by a shared ambition, and this makes us better investors and a better firm. Within Inflexion, we have a continually and critically reviewed process to ensure a welcoming and encouraging environment for talent from across a diverse pool of individuals. We are careful to ensure our hiring longlists are diverse and include individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, while our interviewers have structured interview and unconscious-bias training.
We are similarly committed to promoting D&I across our portfolio. We collect and analyse relevant data from each company, and encourage longlisting and interviewing techniques similar to our own. Pertinent issues are regularly discussed with the portfolio Chairs and at Inflexion-hosted events for our portfolio companies. We have also launched a Backing Diverse Leadership programme across the portfolio and will continually review our efforts to encourage a diverse workforce.
